Incorporated Feb. 12, 2008, Castle Pines North is located just 20 miles south of Denver in Douglas County and is home to about 10,000 people. Our 21st century city has a vision that balances the preservation of our community's history with growth that enhances the quality of life for our citizens.

Feb. 8: DCSO to improve coordination with first responders and schools

Douglas County’s Sheriff David A. Weaver announced today that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is the first law enforcement agency in the Denver-Metro Area to widely deploy a new communications tool that will improve coordination between first responders and schools during a school incident.

Jan. 20: Douglas County offers new iPhone app for crime

Douglas County residents can now take their neighborhood crime map with them wherever they go. The new iPhone application will provide citizens with local crime mapping and national sex offender data.

Jan. 13: Elected officials begin service to CPN

Mayor HuffMunicipal Judge Lewis Gresh officially swore in six new Castle Pines North city officials last night at the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce as families, friends and dignitaries joined in the celebration.

  • City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 09-25, which establishes and imposes a temporary suspension and delay in the acceptance, processing and approval of applications to any business that grows, sells, dispenses or otherwise provides medical marijuana through Aug. 30, 2010, unless terminated earlier or extended later by City Council.
