Meeting Information

Council meetings for the new City Council are held at the CPN Community Center (7404 Yorkshire Drive), when available, and the HOA #1 Clubhouse, 7233 Tenby Way, across from Buffalo Ridge Elementary School.

Council meetings begin at 7 p.m., with time allowed at the beginning of each meeting for public input. A study session is held before each council meeting beginning at 6 p.m. While public input is not permitted at the study session, meetings are open to the public.

Council Meeting: Jan. 14, 2009

The regular meeting of the City Council for Castle Pines North was held 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive.

The Council approved a proposed agreement with Douglas County to provide snow removal services in the city from February through May. The agreement now goes before the Douglas County Board of Commissioners for review.

Among other highlights, these items were discussed and approved:

The first reading of Ordinance 09-02, which addresses the regulation of traffic and parking in the city.
Resolution 09-11, "Commitment to CIRSA loss control standards."
Resolution 09-12, "Accepting membership in the Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA)." CIRSA provides property casualty and workers' compensation coverages to government entities of Colorado, as well as loss control and other services.

During the Council's study session preceding the meeting, Council talked about its policies relating to task forces, issues related to the city's master plan, and public works-related issues.

The next City Council meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. in the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive. All Council meetings are open to the public and are posted on the City's online calendar. All meeting agendas are posted online and at the CPN Community Center the day before each meeting is held.
