Meeting Information

Council meetings for the new City Council are held at the CPN Community Center (7404 Yorkshire Drive), when available, and the HOA #1 Clubhouse, 7233 Tenby Way, across from Buffalo Ridge Elementary School.

Council meetings begin at 7 p.m., with time allowed at the beginning of each meeting for public input. A study session is held before each council meeting beginning at 6 p.m. While public input is not permitted at the study session, meetings are open to the public.

Council Meeting: May 14, 2009

The regular meeting of the City Council for Castle Pines North was held at 7 p.m. May 14 at CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive, Castle Pines North, CO.

Council approved Ordinance 09-07, which amended and restated an ordinance imposing a sales tax on the sale of tangible personal property and retail as well as the furnishing of taxable services. City Attorney Linda Michow assured council no changes have been applied to the ordinance since first reading.

City council held a public hearing for Resolution 09-47. Black & Veatch Corp.'s applicant, Bradley Johnson, spoke on behalf of Verizon Wireless, requesting placement of a Verizon Wireless Stealth Telecommunication, located on the CPN Metro District property. Public comment supported this venture, and the public hearing council unanimously approved the resolution

Among other highlights, Council discussed and approved the following items:

Resolution 09-48 to retain the services of Sherman & Howard, LLC to act as bond council.
A resolution to appoint a Deputy City Treasurer.

The next City Council meeting will be Thursday, May 28, at 7 p.m. at Castle Pines North Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive, Castle Pines North, CO. All Council meetings are open to the public. All meeting agendas are posted online and at the CPN Community Center the day before each meeting is held.
