The regular meeting of the City Council for Castle Pines North was held at 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at DCS Montessori School Gymnasium, 311 Castle Pines Parkway, Castle Pines North, Colo.
After holding a public hearing the annexation of The Canyons, where citizens could express their, the City Council approved the second reading of the following ordinances:
- Ordinance 09-14, which annexes certain territory to the city known as Canyons North Annexation No. 1
- Ordinance 09-15, which annexes certain territory to the city known as Canyons North Annexation No. 2
- Ordinance 09-16, which annexes certain territory to the city known as Canyons North Annexation No. 3
- Ordinance 09-17, which approves initial zoning of property known as The Canyons North
- Ordinance 09-18, which approves an annexation and development agreement for The Canyons North property
- Ordinance 09-19, which approves vested property rights associated with a planned development and annexation and development agreement for The Canyons North property, pursuant to C.R.S. Section 24-68-101
Following a second public hearing regarding Resolutions 09-73 and 09-74, City Council approved the following resolutions:
- Resolution 09-73, which accepts designation as the approving authority for The Canyons Metropolitan District No. 1
- Resolution 09-74, which accepts designation as the approving authority for The Canyons Metropolitan District Nos. 2-11.
The next City Council meeting will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive, Castle Pines North, Colo. All council meetings are open to the public. All meeting agendas are posted online and at the CPN Community Center the day before each meeting is held.
