During the June 8th Study Session and City Council Meeting the following items were discussed:
Study Session
- Staff delivered presentations concerning Medical Marijuana Dispensaries and sexually oriented businesses
Council Meeting
- Resolutions 10-53, 54 and 55 – Approved Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs), between the Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and the Castle Rock Fire Protection District, the Parker Water and Sanitation District, and the South Metro Fire and Rescue Authority, respectively. These IGAs provide revenue sharing for these specific entities within the URA, in order to ensure that funding is available to continue to provide adequate services.
- City Manager’s Report – Covered the topics of Metro District cooperative integration, accounting transition, CH2M Hill contract, communications and public relations, agenda and packet protocol, DRCOG request, and upcoming calendar items. Council also heard reports from the Community Development and Public Works departments.
- Executive Session – City Council received legal advice regarding the Metro District integration, Douglas County proposed IGA, and the URA and Urban Renewal Plan
The next regular City Council meeting will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Dr., Castle Pines, Colo. All City Council meetings are open to the public. All meeting agendas are posted online and at the Castle Pines CPN Community Center the day before each meeting is held.
