Incorporated Feb. 12, 2008, Castle Pines North is located just 20 miles south of Denver in Douglas County and is home to about 10,000 people. Our 21st century city has a vision that balances the preservation of our community's history with growth that enhances the quality of life for our citizens.

Vote iconOn July 26, the City Council hosted an overview for CPN residents of Proposition 101 and Amendments 60 and 61 presented by Dee Wisor of Sherman & Howard LLC. These three statewide initiatives will be on the November 2010 ballot and, if passed, will become effective on January 1, 2011.  Each of the three initiatives is likely to have direct and indirect financial impacts on every municipality statewide, including Castle Pines North.

June 8: City of Castle Pines North Signs URA Agreements with Castle Rock Fire District, Parker Water and Sanitation District and South Metro Fire Rescue Authority

In a move to ensure collaboration and consensus surrounding the formation of an Urban Renewal Authority, the Castle Pines North City Council on Tuesday signed Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs) with the Castle Rock Fire District, Parker Water and Sanitation and the South Metro Fire Rescue Authority.

  • City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 09-25, which establishes and imposes a temporary suspension and delay in the acceptance, processing and approval of applications to any business that grows, sells, dispenses or otherwise provides medical marijuana through Aug. 30, 2010, unless terminated earlier or extended later by City Council.
